Canadian Friends of Israel Elwyn (CFIE) is a national charitable organization that develops and promotes awareness of, leadership in, and financial support for Israel Elwyn.  Through our various activities, CFIE fosters relationships between Canadians and Israel Elwyn.  Founded in 1984 by Canadian philanthropist Manny Rotman, CFIE has played an important role in Israel Elwyn’s development.

ISRAEL ELWYN believes that everyone deserves the chance to be an active participant in society through inclusive rather than exclusive interaction. Founded in 1984, Israel Elwyn serves more than 2000 children and adults with special needs. The ultimate goal of all of Israel Elwyn's programs is to provide individuals with the tools needed to lead more independent lives within the community.

Hundreds of adults now work in jobs in the community. Hundreds of children have been mainstreamed and dozens of teenagers and adults with disabilities have moved from a residential campus to more independent, dignified living within the society at large.
